First Date: Lisse Declercq and Tramaine de Senna, Bernaerts, Antwerp, Belgium [03 - 30 May 2021]
FIRST DATE
Tramaine de Senna and Lisse Declercq
03 - 30 May 2021; also part of Antwerp Art Weekend 2021
Dinner and a movie, expectations, a dance between reality and fantasy. "First Date" marks the first collaboration between Lisse Declercq and Tramaine de Senna as a symbiosis of each other's oeuvres. Playing with the history of the Bernaerts space (former movie theater "Cinema Tokio"), layers of projection, and the construction of appearances, the exhibition examines personal histories in relation to pop culture and symbolism: distance makes the dream.
